Welcome to Saint André les Alpes-Barrême!

The region of  Saint André les Alpes-Barrême  is both close to the  Côte d’Azur, the Gorges du Verdon and the ski resorts of the Val d’Allos, and stretches over lakes and mountains. Out territory is a privileged site for fishing, swimming, sailing and white water sports. It is located in the Verdon Natural Regional Park and the Geology Reserve of Haute Provence.

For those who love hiking, our villages offer marked trails, cycle-touring and mountain-bike circuits (FFC-approved) and wooded areas inhabited by rare species of wildlife.  They are also the starting-point for picturesque excursions and hikes: the Gorges du Verdon, the Col or the Lac d’Allos in the Mercantour, the Barre des Dourbes, the Lac de Castillon, Mont Chiran and the Chamatte.

A whole host of marvellous and unforgettable walks!

Our territory is also well-known as a historical leg on the famous Route Napoléon! The route Napoléon stretches from Golfe Juan to Grenoble and goes through Senez and Barrême. Napoléon arrived in Barrême on Friday 3rd March 1815 to a warm welcome from the local population. Come and listen to the story of the famous emperor when you come to stay in our region!
